I'm getting ready for a new trip-a big one. I'm taking 6 months off to travel around the Mediterranean Sea. This February I'm going to Spain for three weeks in Madrid, Granada, and Córdoba. After that I'll move counter-clockwise around the Med. Morocco, then Tunisia. A month in Egypt. A trip through the Levant in Jordan, Lebanon, and maybe Syria. I start the Summer in Turkey, then I visit Greece. After that it's trip to Durmitor in Montenegro then a few days in Croatia. The journey ends in Italy, in my favorite city in the world, Rome.
This will be my first time visiting most of these places. Italy, Jordan, and Lebanon are repeat trips for me. I'm looking forwards to seeing those places again. The view of Rome from the top of St Peter's Basilica; the temple to Jupiter in the ruins of Baalbek; the first glimpse of the treasury building in Petra. Those are the sights I'm dying to see again.
But my itinerary is flexible, and there are a lot of new places to see. If you've been to any of the countries I've listed above, leave a comment and tell me where you think I should go.
You're an idiot if you're in Spain for three weeks and don't go to Barcelona...
